Fearless Singer is my mantra, my mission, and my community.

It’s aspirational, but it’s also grounded in the very real inner work that comes with singing, making music, and putting creative projects out into the world.

While the process is deeply rewarding, it can be scary—bloody scary! 

That’s where Fearless Singer comes in.

I created this space to help singers like YOU move through fear, find your voice, and let it take you to places you’ve only dreamed of.

Fearless Singer is about this simple truth: We can all sing, and we must—for the benefit of our hearts, souls, and the world around us.

But I’ll be honest—I didn’t always believe that about myself.

For a long time, fear held me back. Fear of being judged. Fear of not being “good enough.” Fear of the spotlight.

Seven years ago, I made the choice to redefine fear—not as something that cripples us, but as an emotion that can empower, guide, and propel us.

I left the corporate world—and later my high school teaching career—and committed to my dream of becoming a professional singer. I’ve never looked back.

My Story 

I was born in Bundaberg (hence the sugar cane photo!) and raised on a soundtrack of Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and 80s Greek pop music blaring from my family stereo.

The moment I knew I wanted to be a singer was when my Dad bought me a Nina Simone cassette tape at age seven.

Her dark, glorious tone and the soul-stirring magic of her music captivated me. I knew I wanted to make music for the rest of my life.

But like so many of us, doubt crept in. Instead of chasing my dream, I pursued “safe” careers that gave me a sense of security and importance. But no matter how high I climbed the corporate ladder, something was missing.

My life became a series of radical changes as I worked to find my way back to myself:

☀︎ I quit my job in the public service.

☾ I moved to London, sang in a 60s garage band, and traveled through Europe.

☀︎ I taught English in Shanghai.

☾ I returned to Australia to study jazz at the Queensland Conservatorium.

☀︎ I left my high school teaching career as a Music and Drama teacher.

Now, I perform nationally and internationally as a soul jazz singer. I also sing in Greek as part of my Girl From Greece project.

I hold a Master of Music and postgraduate qualifications in vocal pedagogy and education.

Through self-inquiry, EFT and NLP, I’ve learned to combine my talents to be of service to the world—and I’ve achieved some incredible milestones, including:

♡ Co-producing and performing in two sold-out shows at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) for the Nana Mouskouri Tribute Concert. 

♡ Growing Fearless Singer into Australia’s leading Mindset Coaching & Community for Singers, providing empowering performance opportunities through Fearless Singer Showcases and Jazz Jams.

♡ Launching and running the Fearless Singer Membership & Mentorship, with over 500 singers coached and supported.

♡ Hosting the Fearless Singer Podcast, sharing insights, tips, and inspiration to help singers thrive—now with over 1,000 downloads and counting.

♡ Producing jazz and soul performances across Meanjin, Queensland & globally, including my Girl From Greece and Little Mel projects.

Fearless Singer: Coaching & Community 

Fearless Singer is about more than singing—it’s about personal and creative transformation.

I’ve watched my clients step onto stages they never thought possible, write songs they were too scared to share, and create magic they didn’t think they were capable of.

In 2024, I had clients headline festivals, produce albums, put on one-woman shows, publish books, and score residencies.

We also hosted 20 Fearless Singer Showcases and Jazz Jams over the last couple of years, with some of our Fearless Singers performing for the very first time!

Fearless Singer Coaching is all about mindset.

Because the truth is, mindset is EVERYTHING when you’re a singer.

I often joke that singers signed up for the role to expedite their spiritual evolution. It’s true—singing pushes us to face our fears, embrace vulnerability, and grow in ways we never imagined.

But here’s the thing: fear doesn’t have to hold you back. You can work with it, transform it, and turn it into your greatest ally.
